Using distinctive instrumentation - including the didjeridu and tabla - the Kairos Quartet offers listeners a fresh way to experience free improvisation, groove, modern jazz and folk.
Their latest CD, "riverrun" features original compositions and improvisations in which the bass, saxophone and trombone create modal harmony. The method – popularized by jazz greats John Coltrane and Miles Davis – produces mesmerizing loops heavy in tone and mood.
